EXPLORING 

There's so much to do and see that we guarantee your stay won't feel long enough.  A few of our favourite places are listed below but there's so much more. 

Machynlleth bridge

Ancient capital of Wales, 3 minutes drive from the cabin into town and you'll find a wealth of places to eat,  independent boutique shops, market stalls  on a Wednesday, bookshops, pottery painting and much more. 

The MOMA, has regular shows, cinema and an annual festival of Welsh music and culture.

May bank holiday weekend the town plays host to a comedy festival which transforms the town and is well worth a visit.

10 minutes drive from Machynlleth, Corris is a small village, with some lovely walking trails and a narrow guage steam railway and museum

Just outside Corris you'll find a craft centre with a range of different shops, pottery, distillery, Corris mine explorerKing Arthur's Labyrinth and many more.

Aberdyfi beach

Just 15 minutes drive from the cabin Aberdyfi is a beautiful little town with plenty of places to eat, get an ice cream and have a walk on the stunning sandy beach.

Snowdon

​​​Wales's largest national park at 823 square miles, there's endless exploring and hiking or take the Snowdon mountain railway from Llanberis to the summit of Yr Wyddfa, Snowdon for spectacular views

Cadair Idris lies just north of Machynlleth as you enter Eyri (Snowdonia). One of the three Welsh peaks, Cadair Idris is very popular with hikers, and it's not hard to see why with it's spectacular views.

Barmouth beach

Under an hours drive and you will find yourself in Barmouth, it's worth it for the drive alone, never mind the huge sandy beach with beachfront promenade, amusements and an array of shops and restaurants.

Aberystwyth seafront

A university and seaside town, Aberystwyth is the largest town, only 30 minutes from the cabin. Here you will find the seafront promenade, amusements, castle, camera obscura, cliff railway and some amazing architecture. 

For the shopping lovers there's a wealth of independent gift shops and all your major high street stores too.

One of our favourite places to visit, Betws-y-coed is perfectly postcard picturesque, with river walks, waterfalls, picnic spots, alfresco dining, even the chip shop has a deck overlooking the waterfalls. There's biking, hiking and a zip world.  

Just over an hours drive but the chips alone are worth it.
