We are lucky to have world class mountain biking practically on our doorstep with Dyfi Bike Park only 4 miles away, and many, many more not much further and with Bike Park Wales only 2 hours away if you're staying for a weekend or a week, there's more than enough to keep you peddling every day.
Just 3 miles north of Machynlleth you will find Dyfi Bike Park - Big Mountain trails hand-crafted by Dan Atherton.
Carved into the mountain side set within this 650-acre map, you’ll find trails from red to triple black diamond, a ‘landy’ uplift and a roaring fire at the cafe nestled amongst the trees at its base.

The ClimachX trail is a 4-mile red-graded option in Dyfi Forest, and the Mach routes (Mach 1, 2, and 3) provide diverse terrain and challenging ascents.

Coed y Brenin was Britain's first purpose-built mountain biking centre and it is still one of the sport's top destinations.
Althought the vistor centre and cafe are currently closed the trails remain open.

Red Bull Hardline Wales. One of the worlds most challenging mountain bike race courses designed by Dan Atherton. If you're visiting for the annual mountain bike competition held in the Dyfi valley. We are perfectly placed only a 20 minute drive away.
The Mawddach Trail footpath walk and cycle route winds for 9.5 miles (15km) along the disused railway track on the southern edge of the spectacular Mawddach estuary. Whilst the trail can be joined at several points it starts at the picturesque market town of Dolgellau and finishes by crossing the iconic railway bridge over the mouth of the estuary into Barmouth.
Caersws Bike Park, only 30 minutes drive away, uplifts, coaching, private uplift days and a favorite on the downhill race scene. What's not to love!
Bwlch Nant yr Arian, 45 minutes drive, free entry with trails for all abilities from forest tracks through to black graded trails. Not just mountain biking, there's also walking and daily red kite feeding.
Revolution Bike Park, an hour away, completely redeveloped since 2023. Uplift and push up available, their red, black and purple trails are constantly evolving so check their website for up to date info.
